It’s important to note that if you tan after receiving the camouflage tattoo, the tattoo itself will not darken or change color, but your actual skin tone will. Since we are taking almost white stretch marks or scars and making them darker to match your base tone, they will still be less visible than before if the skin around them darkens.

Once an area has been camouflaged, you won’t be able to laser over that skin. This is due to the titanium dioxide in the ink. We recommend receiving all your desired laser treatments, including laser hair removal, prior to receiving the tattoo.

Camouflage tattooing is safe and effective for all skin types; however, it’s most effective on certain colors of scars and stretch marks.

On average, everyone will need 2 treatments. This includes the initial treatment and the follow up treatments. In some cases a patient may need up to 4 treatments.

There is minimal downtime following the initial treatment. For example, you will not be able to shower the evening after or work out for two weeks post treatment. You can typically return to a normal routine two weeks after, excluding sun exposure. It can, however, take up to 45-60 days to fully heal.
